| It might be nice to get a big payout if you are the owner, but it makes it hard for the collector who wants to preserve history, rather than make an investment. JMHO (just my humble opinion) http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=112811469 |

| Yep, I hate going to auctions now, my heart sinks everytime the prices hype up. Bought my first M1 for $450, and the most recent for $950. My M1A1 was only $1350 3yrs ago, now they sell for over three grand! |

| I dont have an E-cat so it doesnt bother me at all but I can agree on the whole bastard investors n dealers paying silly money. SLRs interest me a tad more and they dont seem to be getting any cheaper. Antique arms helps keep things real but Ted Rogers is not really helping those in the buying market. Good for sellers though. No point complaining for too long though or you miss out altogether.. kinda like waiting too long to buy a house - cant go sailing if ya miss the boat _________________ Someday someone may kill you with your own gun. | Does that auction site have anything to do with E-Bay? Just curious. In NA, the owners of E-bay are rabidly anti-firearm ownership. They provide large financial support to the people, Stateside, who think you should not be allowed to own any firearm. |
