| Hi, We tried some of that 30 Carbine FMJ stuff Reloaders sold for $20 (50 rds) in those orange boxes. Lots of misfires. Don't recommend it at all. Bought some Highland brand SP's and these all work fine. Cheap too. Over the years I've fired Winchester, Remington, Federal, Stirling, Norma, PMC plus various FMJ ex-mil rounds through my carbines to good effect. Great little round! | |

| Here I am responding to an elderly post. Reload, if you can. I have no idea what components are available, but Speer 110 grain HP's with regular small rifle primers and IMR4227 gives outstanding accuracy and cycling out of my Plainfield. 13.0 to 15.0(compressed). Blows a hole the size of a grapefruit in a ground hog(it's an 8 to 10 pound, underground living rodent.) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog No I don't think Wikipedia in an authority on anything. | |
