Hi all (esp Alex)
New to carbines and new to the forum.
IMAS member and Awakeri Shooting Federation member
SSANZ member
NZPA member
a cat licence plus b and e endorsed. Considering c as my winchesteritis is leading me toward the M2!
Cafe owner in Rotorua (drop in to Indigo cafe on Hinemoa St and say gidday)
Life HOG member (sold the Buell to buy the cafe)
Part time Firefighter (yes I get paid to do it)

Will try and post a photo of my baby...

Cheers

P.S. what is with the price of magazines for these things? I mean to say, how can three empty tin boxes with springs in them be worth as much as the rifle itself scratch wazza2222 on deck P2200363

Welcome along Wazza, nice pic of your Carbine, they certainly can be addictive though, so watch out, your collection of them is bound to grow Laughing

Hello wazza2222 - yes be careful.
A year ago mikey51 got me more interested in M1's and I had only 2 then.

Now I have 9 M1 Carbines, 2 M1A1's & 1 M2!!

Yes mags are expensive for what they are
I collect the 15 round mags - there are dozens of different maker markings on them - I have about 18 different, and about 10 of the 30 round mags

Think you got a good deal if you paid value of 3 mags for your M1, carnt find anything decent for under $800 now
Regards

To get serious, this addiction will need to fight off my Lee Enfield and Winchester addictions first!

My first mission ( as I have detailed elsewhere) is getting going with the reloading so I can afford to shoot the poxy thing!!!
I would have shot it in IPSC competition at Awakeri yesterday but it would have cost me several hundred dollars in ammo Crying or Very sad

To put that into perspective, I shot the day with my AK47 and it probably cost me 60 or 70 bucks in lead.

1/. buy Dillon press- Check
2/. buy Hordady dies- Check
3/. buy a book - Check
4/. learn how-.......................
