What you should have said is, "The US Military did not accept any IP Carbines as first made". The truth is, IP did make approx, 3, 500 which were delivered/to somebody ???, there is one in my safe to prove the point, (not mine, belongs to a friend). Pic attached. When IP Carbines were found by the military to be not up to the standard/quality required, Saginaw was asked to take over IPs production. The Carbines then produced are known as S'G's (not S.G.) and maybe a mixture of IP and S'G' parts. It's a long story !
