How to reply to a topic

The next step is to be able to reply to someone else’s Topic.

I will show how to do this in the most basic form to help get the ball rolling, and further features will be included in future tutorials.

So you have read a post from another member and want to reply to what they have said.

As an example you will be looking at a screen like this, with the post you want to reply to showing.

Tutorial Postreply1

If you click on the “PostReply” button, as circled in the above picture, you will get a screen that looks like this.

Tutorial Postreply2

As a run through from top to bottom of this screen, there is no need to put a subject in the field between the two red asteric, just type the message/question you want to appear after the post above it ( your reply will appear after the last post in the topic) and click the preview button as circled in red at the bottom of the page.

It may not seem necessary to preview it, but if you get into this habit from the start, it helps when you get more adventurous with quotes and pictures later.

The preview will show how your message will appear, as per the example below

Tutorial Postreply3

If you are happy with how your reply looks just scroll to the bottom of the screen and click send (as per the circle in the example below.

Tutorial Postreply4

Once you have sent your reply, you will see a screen like this.

Tutorial Postreply5

This screen should disappear, and redirect you back to the forum after about 5 seconds.

And this will be the result.

Tutorial Postreply6

Happy posting everyone.
