Questions on my Winchester Carbine Empty
PostSubject: Questions on my Winchester Carbine   Questions on my Winchester Carbine Icon_minitimeSun Mar 22, 2009 2:57 am

I inherited a M1 Carbine. I already own a couple of mix master types, but this one appears to be an all original Winchester Carbine.

I’m trying to figure out what I may have and the possible value.

I was hoping someone could help me on this.

This is the info.

1.Receiver serial number: 5737074

2. Trigger housing no numbers but has a W stamp.

3. Bolt has a W

4. Op Rod #7160091 with a W stamp in main channel.

5. Barrel has a W stamp a few inches back from the muzzle.

6. Safety is a push button.

7. Has a crossed cannons cartouche on stock.

Rifle looks brand new with 100 metal blue. Only down side is the stock has been redone with the notch for the sling and oiler filled in. The stock has had a clear type finish put on it. The finish could be taken off by someone who new what they were doing.
