I was talking to a friend today who was in Vietnam with 161 battery (New Zealand artillary for those that don't know).

He has had a look at the above photo, he says by looking at the kit the soldiers are wearing it is late WW2 Question not sure if it's European theatre or Pacific.

He did say it could be early Korea at a stretch.

Also on a separate but related matter, the same friend also said that NZ troops were issued Carbines but not in NZ, he was referring to our involvement in Malaya Exclamation

I must catch up with him again soon and get a run down on this info so I can keep us all up to date Cool
