O.G. marking on a Winchester stock. Empty
PostSubject: O.G. marking on a Winchester stock.   O.G. marking on a Winchester stock. Icon_minitimeSun Jan 03, 2010 7:21 am

I just bought a Winchester Carbine. It has the crossed cannon marking on one side of the stock and a O.G. in a box on the other side. Does anyone know what the O.G. stands for?

Thanks,
Cody

Hi Cody, and welcome to the NZ M1 Carbine Forum Smile

I haven't seen the marking you have mentioned, but there may be someone on this forum who has?

I know a couple of the members have Winchesters, so you never know your luck Smile

Regards

Alex

Cody,The O.G. stamp stands for Ogden Arsenal in Utah where the carbine the stock had been on went through a rebuild post WW2.
