| Subject: O.G. marking on a Winchester stock. Sun Jan 03, 2010 7:21 am | |
| I just bought a Winchester Carbine. It has the crossed cannon marking on one side of the stock and a O.G. in a box on the other side. Does anyone know what the O.G. stands for?
Thanks, Cody | |

| Hi Cody, and welcome to the NZ M1 Carbine Forum I haven't seen the marking you have mentioned, but there may be someone on this forum who has? I know a couple of the members have Winchesters, so you never know your luck Regards Alex | |

| Cody,The O.G. stamp stands for Ogden Arsenal in Utah where the carbine the stock had been on went through a rebuild post WW2. | |
